The Medal of Merit from the Central Chamber of Commerce of Finland is the Finnish business community's way of recognizing long and faithful service. The medal of merit is a beautiful and highly regarded recognition - even for a life's work. The Finnish business community has awarded medals of merit as an encouragement to employees and entrepreneurs since 1929. Medals are awarded to employees of enterprises or economically active organizations, self-employed persons and persons elected to positions of trust. Recipients can also work for Finnish-owned companies abroad.
